(MATURE) Tokyo Ghost Vol #1: The Atomic Garden by Rick Remender & Sean Murphy – New Paperback
Step into a neon-drenched, tech-addicted future with Tokyo Ghost, Volume 1. Written by the visionary Rick Remender (Black Science, Deadly Class) and featuring the breathtaking art of Sean Murphy (Batman: White Knight), this series is a staggering social commentary wrapped in a high-octane cyberpunk epic.
The year is 2089. Humanity is hopelessly addicted to technology and digital distractions to escape the pollution and poverty of the Isles of Los Angeles.
Plot Summary
Constables Debbie Decay and Led Dent are the muscle for the Flak Corporation, enforcing the law in a world where everyone is "plugged in." While Dent is a mindless tech-addict lost in a sea of digital feeds, Debbie remains one of the few "organic" humans left. Their final mission takes them to the last tech-free sanctuary on Earth: The Garden Nation of Tokyo. There, they must decide if they want to save the world or simply save each other from the glowing screens that are consuming mankind.
